We are a healthcare consultancy specialising in patient safety, quality improvement, medical governance and operational efficiency. With 30 years experience in healthcare including 20 years in senior executive leadership and board roles across both public and private sectors, Qure offers a unique combination of many years' experience of hands-on medical leadership along with strong strategic insight.

 

We bring considerable experience in undertaking complex investigations into incidents, complaints and clinical practice as well as medical product and patient recall exercises.  We also undertake interim Medical Director and Responsible Officer appointments, working alongside leadership teams to provide medical leadership.

INVESTIGATIONS

INCIDENT INVESTIGATIONS

Organisations sometimes need help to undertake a high quality, independent investigation into an incident or concern. As a trained Royal College of Pathologists Medical Examiner and with 15 years experience of leading investigations, I will agree with you clear terms of reference for the investigation, undertaking interviews and review of available documentati0n to report back on findings, lessons and recommendations to help your organisation move forward and to demonstrate to regulators strong and effective leadership.

RECALL PROGRAMMES

PATIENT NOTIFICATION EXERCISES

We offer organisations  extensive experience of organising numerous large-scale and complex product and patient recall programmes in response to Royal College recommendations, General Medical Council advice and Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) notifications. We work alongside your teams in order to minimise distraction and to let them continue with their day-to-day activities whilst undertaking a safe, through and timely recall programme as required.

LEADERSHIP / STRATEGY

With both non-executive healthcare board experience across public and private sectors, I help organisations develop their strategy in response to evolving regulatory, market and customer dynamics in order to deliver on their goals. With considerable experience of healthcare operations and non-executive leadership, I  act with insight as a measured 'critical friend' to create trusting  relationships and a positive culture of openness and inclusivity.

CLINICAL GOVERNANCE

BOARD ASSURANCE

We provide Boards with independent assurance with respect to medical and clinical governance, safety and effectiveness. We save you time by reviewing and advising on clinical policies, pathways, medical outcomes monitoring (PROMs) and governance in order to provide Boards with the confidence they need that treatments are being delivered to a high standard and in compliance with healthcare regulations.

MEDICAL APPRAISAL

As a trained Medical Appraiser with many years' experience as a Responsible Officer for 330 connected doctors and oversight responsibility for  another 7,000, I provide a high quality, responsive and efficient appraisal service to Designated Bodies and their connected doctors in compliance with the GMC 'Good Medical Practice' framework.

A UK qualified and licensed doctor since 1993, I founded Qure Consulting after 20 years as Chief Medical Officer for Spire Healthcare Ltd, Group Medical Director for Bupa Hospitals Ltd. and Medical Director for NHS Direct.

 

My mission is to help healthcare providers to achieve their goals and deliver their strategic plans. My goal is help Boards and senior leaders to stand out for all the right reasons - by delivering outstanding patient care, exceptional clinical quality and superior performance.

Curious by nature with an inclination to question the status quo, I offer my clients an extensive track record of successfully delivering clinical process transformation to drive up patient safety, clinical quality, operational efficiency (profitability) and customer experience.

 

Having successfully led numerous large-scale change programmes and repeatedly introduced new ways of working, I consistently deliver on objectives whilst securing your regulatory compliance and other associated risks by working effectively in partnership with leadership teams.​
